When Michael was looking for an allotment, the council offered him the rubbish tip as a plot.  The other allotment holders said it was to far gone. The council wanted cut the plot up in to 10 very small plots but when people came and looked at the amount of work involved no one was daft enough to do all that work

 Looks a bit barren

Get weeding, we've all had to start somewhere

b2ap3_thumbnail_4.jpg

The pallets and a little helper arrive

b2ap3_thumbnail_5.jpg

Looks like Michael has put a little seat in the middle of the plot to sit on and plan his beds

Better save these, they might be useful for something

Looks like there's still some way to go

b2ap3_thumbnail_8.jpg

Hmm, is this South facing?

b2ap3_thumbnail_9.jpg

 Has he actually started yet?

What a mess, but at least we can see the church now after all that chopping

b2ap3_thumbnail_11_20150314-105719_1.jpg

He got 1 years free rent and 10 tons of top soil

b2ap3_thumbnail_12_20150314-105721_1.jpg

Which certainly helped

It's a cover up

b2ap3_thumbnail_14_20150314-105747_1.JPG

Wonder if this was bonfire night?

b2ap3_thumbnail_16_20150314-105813_1.JPG

I think he's a recycler

b2ap3_thumbnail_15_20150314-105800_1.JPG

I know he's a recycler

Said those slabs might come in handy

b2ap3_thumbnail_18_20150314-105839_1.JPG

Hang on why's his shed on logs? Does it get wet here

b2ap3_thumbnail_19_20150314-105851_1.JPG

Might be able to squeeze a couple of tomatoes in here

b2ap3_thumbnail_20_20150314-105904_1.JPG

Can't wait for the extended growing season

b2ap3_thumbnail_21_20150314-105917_1.JPG

Not only on stilts, but in a cage now, what's going on

b2ap3_thumbnail_22_20150314-105930_1.JPG

Looks like it was all worth it. He started work on it in July 2012 and had planted all the beds by April 2013 every week end and most evenings

b2ap3_thumbnail_23_20150314-105943_1.JPG

Aha, not a shed

b2ap3_thumbnail_24_20150314-105955_1.JPG

What's for breakfast?

b2ap3_thumbnail_25_20150314-110008_1.JPG

Plenty of space to wander about

And guess what, he's taken on the adjoining plot and been working on it since before Christmas. I feel another photoblog coming on!
